As the FICB PS project concludes one year of implementation, the team-leader Aleksander Krebl met newly appointed Minister of Interior, Mr. Oliver Spasovski. The meeting presented an opportunity for the project’s team-leader to inform the Minister of all project achievements during the first year of implementation and the progress made.
Mr. Krebl highlighted that one of the crucial documents being developed in frames of the project, the Police Development Strategy 2016-2020 is moving toward finalization, as all the suggestions and remarks made by Heads of Departments and other officials at the Public Security Bureau are now being reviewed and integrated in the strategy.
The project’s team-leader informed that over a period of 10 months and with the contribution of top-notch international experts from various fields, the project’s team developed a comprehensive and detailed strategic document, along with an Action plan and Budget, that aims to support the process of further modernization and technical advancement of the Police Service in line with the best European practices and standards.
Minister Spasovski pointed to the necessity for the Police Development Strategy to be finalized in a thorough and quality manner, and approved as soon as possible.
