The second round of training dedicated to "Operational Planning of Police Activities in the Field" has a goal to gather together Commanders, Deputy Commanders and Chief Inspectors from all police stations throughout the country, as key police officials in charge of maintaining public peace and order on a local level.
The training is organized in three groups, each taking place for three days between 20 and 29 of June 2016, in the Training Center Idrizovo, and is being conducted by an esteemed international expert Mr. Peter Hable, with the support of resident police trainers Mr. Jordan Kabranov and Mr. Toni Gjorgjievski, and Mr. Arsim Elezi, participant in the Training of trainers held in May, representing the Public Peace and Order Unit.
The training course is based on the “Handbook for Operational Planning” developed in frames of the “Further Institution and Capacity Building of the Police Service” in September 2015, that establishes standard police procedures and police security services according to the “EU Concept of Police Planning” on both operational and tactical level.
Central topics of the training referred, amongst others, to the general and particular organizational structures, planning and decision making, and risk assessment in context of police operations on the field. The emphasis was put on advancing police officers’ skills for efficient planning and execution of police operations with specific focus on securing massive sportsevents, public gatherings and manifestations.
Participants of the first group of trainees have expressed their satisfaction with the topics and objectives of the training, noting that it contributed greatly to their theoretical and practical knowledge, for a reason more that they had a chance to exchange first-hand experiences among themselves. They also agreed that such meetings of all Commanders of police stations should become regular practice.
Certificates to the first group of trainees were awarded by Project’s Team-leader Mr. Aleksander Krebl and Assistant Director in the Public Security Bureau Mr. Salija Sali. The second round of training on “Operational Planning of Police Activities in the Field” will cover 72 police officials from all police stations in the country.
